Biography: born in Tel Aviv in 1950, studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art, and has exhibited in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem galleries, including
Bineth Gallery and ARTSPACE. In a series of colorful impressionistic
works on paper and canvas Rabin focusses on the orange-juice squeezer, an object found in Israeli kiosks on the streets of Tel Aviv; with Mediterannean blues and greens and yellows he paints the functional machine with fascination and joy. In his most recent still-lifes Rabin examines handpainted Persian ceramic pots, both observing and entering their detailed stories of hunters and dramatic journeys |
